According to mazdausa.com, Mazda North American Operations President and CEO Jeff Guyton said, "Safety is at the forefront of our vehicle development and our research has led us to thoughtfully consider crash avoidance technologies, as well as the body structure of our vehicles to protect occupants in the event a crash does occur." It is no surprise that the newly released Mazda CX-50 joined the long list of Mazda vehicles granted the 2022 TOP SAFETY PICK+ Award.

Mazda is thrilled that the CX-50 will be joining the list of vehicles recognized for top safety features by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Institute is an independent, non-government agency, funded by the insurance industry and grants awards according to six crashworthiness standards: driver side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, original side, roof strength and head restraint tests. Additionally, the CX-50 was recognized for well-developed seat belt reminders and child seat attachment (LATCH) hardware. The CX-50 is Mazda’s first purpose-built SUV.  With a wider, longer, and lower frame the CX-50 is built to travel over rough terrain. However, the exterior design of the vehicle mimics that of the best-selling CX-5 crossover SUV, making the CX-50 the perfect SUV for both rural and urban driving.

The pricing for the 2023 Mazda CX-50 starts at $27,550. Contact a Mazda Marietta Brand Specialist at 770-590-4450 for additional details.
