Mazda Speeds into the 2019 Model Year with an Exciting New CX-3 Crossover, Soon to Appear

Fresh off a 2018 New York International Auto Show debut, the new subcompact SUV is already the talk of our Marietta, GA Mazda dealer. But the "KODO: Soul of Motion" moniker's got more than just hallmark Japanese aesthetics on deck, from a new grille to fresh taillight and wheel designs. What can we expect to continue to tow the Mazda line at the head of the small SUV segment?

For one, an interior upgraded for the height of refinement, showcasing premium materials with sound insulation flanking newly available full-leather seating that has been fully redesigned in front. The long and short of it: the new Mazda CX-3 ride's more peaceful and comfortable than ever. There'll be plenty of room in the cockpit to stretch a bit as well as store an essential or two, too, thanks to a new electronic parking brake making possible a likewise-new and redesigned center console and armrest.

Secondly, we can look forward to a series of powertrain improvements. The new CX-3 has been retuned from 148-horsepower, 2.0-liter SKYACTIV®-G engine to suspension for better performance and higher efficiency. Paired with a SKYACTIV®-DRIVE six-speed auto transmission with manual and sport shift modes, the small crossover will also retain the ease of handling that only recalibrated power steering and available predictive i-ACTIV® all-wheel drive can surpass. Of course, these aren't all that's in store. Discover the range of trims available for the new model year, and you'll see what we mean. They include:

  • In 2019 CX-3 Sport, a new i-ACTIVSENSE Package, with options from Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection and Smart Brake Support to Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Departure Warning and more. That's wraparound situational awareness and protection, topped off by an available Active Driving Display for critical metrics readouts, rain-sensing windshield wipers for inclement weather, and more.
  • In 2019 CX-3 Touring, i-ACTIVSENSE advancements, plus a few perks, from Smart Brake Support to an available Preferred Equipment Package offering a seven-speaker BOSE® premium sound system, power glass moonroof, the listening options afforded by SiriusXM satellite radio and HD radio, and a cargo cover for gear.
  • In 2019 CX-3 Grand Touring, much of what's built into previous trims, plus several luxurious amenities. They include full-leather seating surfaces with high-gloss pleated piping in parchment or black hue, numerous chrome front-bumper and side-sill accents, adaptive LED headlights, LED fog lights, standard Mazda Navigation, and the convenience of paddle shifters, among others. Go for the optional Premium Package, and you gain a power driver’s seat with lumbar support and a two-position memory system, Traffic Sign Recognition to inform you of local regulations, and more.

Of course, you can still find an impressive roster of standards in the new 2019 Mazda CX-3. For one, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to inform you of driving conditions. Secondly, push-button start to get up and go. Third, two USB ports for peripherals. Fourth, the celebrated 7-inch MAZDA CONNECT&#trade; infotainment system, with voice command and multi-function Commander control to provide control at your fingertips for the road. Let's not forget the cornering chops of G-Vectoring Control or urban safety-minded Smart City Brake Support, either.
