Mazda Records its Best North America January Sales

Mazda starts 2018 strong in North America, posting its highest January sales in 24 years. According to insidemazda.mazdausa.com, “Mazda North American Operations…reported total January US sales of 24,962 vehicles, representing an increase of 15 percent versus January of last year…as Mazda posts its best January in 24 years.” And a big reason for this sales record is because of the increased sales in Mazda SUVs.

In the month of January, the Mazda CX-5 sold 13,463 which marked a 66.9 percent increase and its own January sales record. The Mazda CX-9 sold 2,336 models, posting a 46.8 percent year-over-year increase, and the Mazda CX-3 sold 1,350 models, marking a 14-percent year-over-year increase. Together, SUVs accounted for 17,149 of total January Sales, a 58.2 percent year-over-year increase.
