Getting in and out of your 2012 Mazda CX-7 just got easier with the Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry and Start System standard on the s Grand Touring model.  This system allows you to lock, unlock and even start your car without pulling any keys out of your pocket or pocket-book.  To do this, the Advanced Key utilizes a radio frequency inside a 3-foot range to operate.  If equipped with power driver seat, your Advanced Key will save your seating position, resulting in custom comfort every time you arrive.

You can easily keep up with all of your cars stats and info with the Multi-Information Display (MID) standard on all models excluding the I Sport and s Touring.  The MID displays your audio settings, trip computer stats including fuel consumption and miles until empty, maintenance reminders, and warnings.  The I SV, I Sport, and s Touring models offer a Monochromatic display while the I Touring and s Grand Touring models have a vivid color display.

The 2012 Mazda CX-7 offers two separate stereo systems including the 4-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo system in the I SV, Sport, and s Touring models and the 9-speaker Bose stereo system included in the I Touring and s Grand Touring models. 
The 4-speaker stereo system includes an integrated single CD player, auxiliary-audio input jack for mp3 players and steering wheel mounted controls as well as an Automatic Level Control system(ALC) which changes volume levels based on the speed of the vehicle; as the vehicle increases speed , the volume escalates to compensate for road noises. 
The whopping 9-speaker layout with two 9-inch amplified subwoofers deliver bone chilling, deep bass and crisp sounds that will make you feel every note.  The Bose® Centerpoint® Surround Sound System includes a 6-disc CD changer and steering wheel mounted audio controls for stress-free operation.  The arrangement of the 9-speakers allows for specific sounds to go to each individual speaker encasing you into 360 degrees of realistic sound.  Two technology features of this Bose® system that add to the euphoric experience are AudioPilot® and SurroundStage®. 
AudioPilot® 2.0 - This technology adjusts your music levels to compensate for outside cabin noise as you increase speed. 
SurroundStage® - This technology helps to compensate for the off-center seating locations that a vehicle offers by balancing the sound through the 9-speakers so that you hear the music the way it should be, front and center.

TURBOCHARGED AND CROSSOVER UNITE CREATING 2012 MAZDA CX-7!  Jammed pack with fun-to-drive and fuel-friendly, the 2012 Mazda CX-7 offers two engines to fuel your inner driver.  First, the lightweight aluminum constructed 2.5 Liter DOHC 16 valve Incline-4 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) is available on all I models.  This sporty engine with its standard 5- speed Sport Automatic Transmission with manual-shift mode produces 161 horsepower with 161 lb-ft of torque and earns an impressive 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.   On those rare days that you need to visit a gas station, this sporty crossover sips regular unleaded fuel. 
Next, the impressive, lightweight aluminum constructed 2.3 liter Direct Injection Spark Ignition (DISI) Turbocharged 16 valve 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) is standard on all s models, pumps out 244 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque gets your juices flowing instantly.  DISI technology injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber which instantly increases power and fuel economy while reducing emissions.  The 6-speed Sport AT Automatic transmission with manual shift mode is also standard on all s models and assists in earning up to 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.  Premium fuel is recommended for best performance, although, it is not required.

Consistently maintaining the correct amount of tire pressure in all four tires is very important not only for the enhanced fuel economy but it reduces your risk of experiencing a tire blowout.  Standard on all models is a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which will alert you if tire pressure reaches an unsafe level in any of your tires so that you can stop and air them up.

A really neat safety feature that is equipped in the 2012 Mazda CX-7 s Grand Touring models is the Blind Spot Monitoring System (BSMS).  This technology uses radar sensors to discover objects to the rear and sides of the vehicle at speeds greater than 20 mph, which help to make changing lanes a breeze.  When an object is detected, an orange icon in the side view mirror illuminates and you hear a chime to warn you, making the blind spot no longer a blind spot.
